Maria Banks was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and has called Northwest Arkansas home since 1996. Before settling in NWA, she lived in the San Francisco Bay Area, Denver, and Albuquerque, so she knows firsthand what it takes to move and start over in a new place. That experience shapes how she guides relocation clients today.
Real estate runs in Maria’s family. Her grandmother was a respected realtor on Chicago’s North Shore, and her sister, Lia Schleimer, is a Sotheby’s agent in Buenos Aires, which gives Maria a strong international referral connection.
Maria brings years of client care to every transaction. She worked in patient care and office management, then in customer service with Envoy/American Airlines, before returning to real estate full time. She has been licensed since 2016 and works with first-time buyers, relocation clients, and more and more with clients who are downsizing.
Maria is bilingual in English and Spanish. She is a Paul Harris Fellow and serves on her Rotary club’s board as Co-Sergeant at Arms. Outside of work, she loves horses, nature, and anything involving water.
Her favorite part of the job is still the same as on day one: handing the keys to new homeowners.
